Reimagining a Destination Wedding Through Story

When the couple felt their original design direction no longer reflected their vision, I was brought in to redefine the creative concept and develop a comprehensive style deck that would guide the wedding's visual identity. Rather than beginning with aesthetics, I began with conversation—learning their story, understanding what mattered most to them, and uncovering how they wanted their guests to experience the celebration.

One of the project's defining creative challenges was incorporating the groom's bold terracotta suit into a cohesive design language. Instead of treating it as a limitation, I used it as the foundation for the entire creative direction, drawing inspiration from Cabo's natural landscape, architecture, artisan craftsmanship, and vibrant color palette. Every element—from the floral compositions and tablescapes to the Talavera-inspired details and guest experience—was intentionally curated to feel authentic to both the destination and the couple's story.

The final concept transformed uncertainty into a unified visual narrative, providing the couple and planning team with a clear creative direction that celebrated place, personality, and meaningful design.

Discovering a Shared Vision Through Design

This project began without a defined aesthetic. While the couple knew they wanted an elegant celebration, they struggled to articulate a cohesive creative direction. Through a series of collaborative conversations with the couple and their families, I uncovered the visual language that best reflected their personalities and shared vision.

Drawing inspiration from timeless romance and Old Hollywood glamour, I developed a creative direction that balanced refined sophistication with modern elegance. The style deck established a cohesive design system, guiding every visual decision—from bridal fashion and tailored menswear to color palettes, accessories, and styling details—ensuring each element felt intentional and connected.

Rather than simply selecting beautiful details, my role was to translate emotion into design, creating a visual narrative that reflected who they were while providing a clear creative framework for the planning team to execute with confidence.
